christmas stockings

In a couple of weeks I will be sharing a stall in a Christmas market with a friend. I thought I had better make a few items to sell. I have cut out some lovely red fabrics to make a fourth stocking but am now wilting a little...may go and make a cuppa....

one done, one to go

I have finished the stocking for one twin, this has red check tape to hang it up, the next one will have blue so they can tell which is which. This fabric is lovely but it wasn't so easy to use for 'patchworking' a stocking. The patterns do repeat themselves but not all in one straight line so it was hard to get a complete pattern section cut out. Anyway, below are photo's of each side and I will try and make the next one the same :)

projects

I have a few little projects on the go at the moment. I have just cut up some lovely Cath Kidston fabric to make a baby quilt. I am also making the twins a new Christmas stocking each. When they  were born I made them stockings using fleece fabric and was never very happy with them. Last year for Gilby's first Christmas I made him a patchwork stocking, so I have decided to do the same for the girls. I bought lovely fabric from www.patchfabrics.co.uk and have just begun cutting it out.
