Sunshine

I've been getting on with a few Etsy makes ready for my on line store launch, here is a selection. A couple of baby blankets and Cath Kidston feeding cover and bib.
But now the sun is shining I think I may step outside with a cuppa and my Kindle :)

Gifts

While away we went to visit my nieces new baby girl, I made her a crocheted blanket out of natural cotton yarn and a liberty print bib.

Today is my friends birthday so I made her a tea towel from toile de jouy fabric and knitted her a cotton dishcloth, I bundled them up with a wooden scrubbing brush

I managed to visit a few sewing shops while away on holiday, this is one of my purchases...a pack of Moda solids. Thinking I may make a baby quilt for my Etsy shop

Baby Girl Blanket

Just a little sneaky post from Devon...whilst watching three small children while everyone else is still in bed!
This is the baby blanket I have made for a baby girl due in the summer...just like the blanket I made with a blue trim for a baby boy. I have bought myself a couple of holiday treats which I will post next time. I hope you all had an enjoyable Easter time.

Baby Blue

I have finished the Blue Baby Blanket. I love the colours and used a shell stitch around the edge. The yarn is 100% acrylic and so very soft, machine washable and tumble dry.
I reckon I can get three blankets from the yarn I bought costing £13 in total....bargain!

Blue for a Boy

Three of our nieces and nephews are having babies this summer. Two little boys and one little girl. I am making blankets for them. I love these colours and thought the cottage we came across yesterday fitted the theme quite well.

Finished a Couple of Things

I finished the crocheted baby blanket, it was lovely to make, the cotton yarn is nice to work with. I am considering making one or two more as two of my nieces are having babies later in the year...cant decide whether to make them like this or to use bright colours like Lucy uses on attic24. I am pleased with how my dress turned out. It looks a bit sacky in this photo but fits well...not sure what that says about me :) I will definitely make another one. Maybe sleeveless next time.

Baby Blanket

A couple in our church are expecting their first baby. I have had this cream cotton yarn for a few years, I bought 900g of it in a charity shop, its very fine, probably 4 ply and after making the twins dresses in 4 ply cotton I knew I would never knit in that thickness again! So I decided to try it with crochet, it works well and so I am making a baby blanket.

And guess what? they are having a boy!

'To Do' List

I am gradually able to cross items off my 'to do' list. My daughters friend had a baby boy and I made this pram blanket. Its made from a deep plum coloured wool with a grey edge. I then made the little jackets for the twins. We are travelling to Devon on Thursday to celebrate their 3rd birthday on Saturday. I need to make them a skirt each before then, out of old clothes that my daughter gave me to use..we like to recycle fabric!

Baby Blanket & Fun in the Woods

I have just finished a crocheted baby blanket in navy blue wool and added a border in Liberty fabric. I will now be starting on two more baby quilts for twins being born in our church. I have added some woodland photo's, we are so blessed to live within beautiful English countryside to take the Grandchildren for walks

Baby Blanket

We have a number of babies either just been born or going to be born in the next few months, to two of my brothers children and to friends. I have just finished this crocheted blanket, I added Liberty fabric as a border, I am making another one in navy with a pink border and also working on a patchwork quilt for a baby shower on Saturday. Good job I am still on Easter break and dont go back to school until next week!
