Sunshine

I've been getting on with a few Etsy makes ready for my on line store launch, here is a selection. A couple of baby blankets and Cath Kidston feeding cover and bib.
But now the sun is shining I think I may step outside with a cuppa and my Kindle :)

Breast Feeding Cover

Here is another breast feeding cover I have made for my Etsy shop. I used a fine fabric this time just to try out a different kind. It has turned out well but I think this is the thinnest fabric that would be suitable. I had wanted to use some Liberty lawn but don't think it is heavy enough to hold the boning strip in place without it twisting around.I have been making bibs using Liberty and Cath Kidston fabric...will show you those another time :)

D rings to adjust the straps

Pocket for breast pads, made from cotton towelling.

Breast Feeding Cover

When my daughter had her twins she bought a breast feeding cover which she found invaluable, especially as to begin with she fed them both together. I thought I would have a go at making these covers for my etsy shop and began with this one for a new mum at church. She asked for stripes and I bought 100% cotton ticking fabric in navy. I pre washed it and it didn't shrink. It was a good price and lovely to sew with. I used 'boning' to make the top edge stand away from mum so she can peep down at baby while she is feeding. I made a towelling pocket on the inside corner to store breast pads and used D rings for fastening the straps.
