Last Days of Summer

Our family are really into the outdoor life....I have just taken these photo's from one of their blogs. They are clearly making the most of these last days of summer. I wish we lived closer so we could enjoy them together....They are so blessed to live where they do and we are blessed to be able to visit when we can.

Tent Makers

We have a new gallery in the little town where we live and today when I went in I found these beautiful hand made quilts, made with appliqué work. I didn't have my camera so I have taken these photo's from the website.
They are made by the 'tent makers' of Old Cairo.
if you scroll down through the photo's and click on the link it will take you to the page where information about this work is written. The photo's really don't do them justice, the work is amazing in the 'flesh' and brings a whole new dimension to camping!

baby Quilt

I have just put together these Moda Solids to top a baby quilt. I am planning on backing with white fabric and hand quilting with grey coloured thread. Not sure about the binding yet.

Etsy Store

I have just launched my Etsy Store, having added a few items that I have made. I will be adding more as I make them so please come back and visit it often!

Pottery

The twins have been having pottery lessons where they live in Devon, for about as long as they could walk. Now Gilby has joined them and it looks like he's really enjoying himself.
And Grandpa's studio is a magnet for little potters!

Sunshine

I've been getting on with a few Etsy makes ready for my on line store launch, here is a selection. A couple of baby blankets and Cath Kidston feeding cover and bib.
But now the sun is shining I think I may step outside with a cuppa and my Kindle :)
