Christmas Fun

Well Christmas has been busy...my husband slipped and cracked some ribs a couple of days before and so all the jobs we would normally share I had to do without him, including the Christmas morning service! Thankfully our neighbour walked the dog until the family arrived and helped out. We still have Preston with us but he will be going to his new home next week sometime. Our youth pastor and his wife are going to have him live with them. He recovered from his illness, we thought it was a slipped disc but on reading up about beagles we discovered that they are prone to a form of meningitis and we think this may be what he had. The only way to know for sure is if he comes down with it again he has a spinal tap and the fluid is tested. I have added some family photo's taken over the Christmas period, the summery ones are taken of our family in South Africa, although there isnt one of Jesse or Cindi. My daughter doesnt have internet at the moment and so I am pinching photos from her friends facebook page
New Year is just a few hours away for us here in the UK, I pray that you will know God's abundant blessings and peace throughout 2011

Happy Christmas!

I pray that you will know and experience the true meaning of Christmas this year, that you will seek and fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ.  And that 2011 will bring with it peace and many blessings for you and your families.

New Years Day 2010

Happy New Year to you all. We begun this New Years Day down in Devon with our daughter and her family. They live near the sea so we went for a lovely walk this morning....the sun shone and as Devon is in the south west of the UK it is usually warmer in the winter months than most parts of the country. Later, after lunch we drove back up to Hertfordshire and watched the thermometer drop as we travelled back up country. Thankfully the snow had all cleared while we were away. The house is all quiet after the busyness of the Christmas holiday and we will miss having our Grandchildren coming into our bed in the morning for snacks and a story. I look forward to getting back into some patchwork again, it seems a long time ago that I did any as I have spent the past couple of months making Christmas presents for my children and neices and nephews. I also look forward to all that God has planned for us and our family and seeing Him move in the lives of those who we know and love.
