Kindle

Yesterday was my birthday and my husband gave me a Kindle...I had wondered for a while if I wanted one, thinking that I love books so much could I really get along with a gadget instead. Well after giving our study a clear out and trying to find storage for all our many books which we couldn't keep on the shelves but also didn't want to part with, I thought a Kindle could be a good idea. We had friends visit and the wife had recently bought a Kindle and 'sang its praises'. I can store thousands of books on it, if I don't want them on the Kindle itself, Amazon always keeps them on my account, I can also share my books with others who have a Kindle and I can subscribe to newspapers etc too.I can go straight to Amazon, buy with one click and the book is there in 60 seconds...yes I know this does sound dangerous and I will have to be careful I don't get carried away :) The battery stays charged for weeks.  I have a neat little leather case and am just about to go and buy a clip on lamp so I can read after
'lights out'
Have I sold it to you yet?

Happy belated birthday! I've often wondered about a Kindle, or something similar - you've made one sound very attractive, especially for traveling!

Happy belated birthday my friend! So sorry I am behind in my blog visits. I knew I had missed posts on your blog and always look forward to catching up on your life. Must admit, you are not only skilled in sewing and creating, but you are quite good at sales. Almost found myself wanting my own Kindle now.
